Judgment Assurance is a governance framework for organizations that use AI to inform, influence, or support consequential decisions. It enables regulators, auditors, insurers, and institutional leaders to assess whether appropriate human oversight is present in AI-mediated decision-making. While AI provides speed and efficiency, responsibility for outcomes remains human. In practice, human judgment is often implicit, undocumented, or diffused across systems and roles, creating gaps in accountability.Judgment Assurance treats human judgment as an organizational asset and provides a structured approach to protecting it by making judgment explicit, reviewable, and institutionally accountable. It focuses not on how AI systems perform, but on how organizations define, record, own, and guard the human judgment exercised around them. The framework is technology-agnostic, scalable in scope, and designed to preserve institutional accountability as decision environments evolve.
